6/18/13 MLB

Picks by Buffalo66

MLB:

Tigers -1.5 (run line -101)

I took a tough loss on the Rockies last night.  Both starters were solid.

Tonight the O’s visit Detroit and face off against Justin Verlander.  He’s 8-0 lifetime versus Baltimore.  Miguel Cabrera is also hitting .481 lifetime at home versus the Orioles.

The birds called up Zach Britton to spot start.  This looks like a good opportunity to play the spread.

I’m taking the Tigers -1.5 (run line -101).

6/17/13 NHL Playoffs

Picks by Buffal66

NHL:

Blackhawks ML (+119)

I missed the over last game, Chicago just couldn’t finish after dominating the first two periods.

I flat out think the Blackhawks are the better team here.  Boston has faced a lot of adversity and has battled back every time.  But they are not as skilled or as healthy as Chicago.

Stalberg is back in tonight (more speed), which makes me like the over again.  But I would not be surprised to see a third straight OT contest.

I’m taking Blackhawks ML (+119).  If it moves favorably I might hit it again before game-time.

MLB:

Rockies ML +143

I cashed last night on both the Rockies and Spurs ML.

I’m going right back to Colorado today as they travel to Toronto.  Josh Johnson was supposed to be a power pitching ace for the Jays.  But nagging injuries have left him mostly ineffective. Meanwhile, Jorge De la Rosa has been very consistent for the Rockies.  They’ve won 7 of his last 8 starts.

Both teams are swinging the bats very well and I think the bullpen depth favors Colorado.  The odds are too juicy to pass up tonight.

I’m taking Rockies ML (+143).

6/16/13 MLB and Bonus NBA Finals

Picks by Buffalo66

MLB: Rockies ML +100

NBA: Spurs ML +113

I cashed last night on a Nats rally in the 9th.

Today I’m fading Cole Hamels.  He’s had a pretty lousy year, although some of that is due to lack of run support.  His WHIP and BAA are above his career averages.  He’s facing off against Jhoulys Chacin, who’s finally figuring out how to pitch winning ball at Coors.

I think this is a pretty even match-up that favors the Colorado slightly, even with Tulowitzki out.

I’m taking Rockies ML (+100).

Bonus: Zig-zag with the Spurs in Game 5.

6/15/13 NHL Playoffs

Picks by Buffalo66

NHL:

Bruins/Blackhawks OVER 5 (+129)

I cashed on the over in game one.

I’m going right back to the same bet again.  Getting an extra day off between games this round can only help out the scoring.  As I said before there’s too much offensive firepower not to choose the best odds on the board.

I’m taking Bruins/Blackhawks OVER 5 (+129).
